Maybe you are simply looking to refine your existing process WELL this weekend is for you.
Mudgee Artist Kim Harding will teach you how to capture a likeness and actually 'see' your subject, how to map the image onto your canvas, where should you start and how to mix and apply flesh tones, all processes that will allow you to develop your base skills, your own style and ultimately paint better portraits. Each attendee should bring a quality photo with well-defined light and shadow sides of the subject (person) they would like to paint over the two-day retreat. Attendees will begin with some sketches building value drawings on paper and complete the process all the way through to a finished portrait using either acrylic or oil paints on canvas or board.
Be prepared to have lots of tea, coffee and cake, a delicious lunch from the MRR kitchen garden and a glass or two of champagne!
Accommodation is available in our guesthouses, but is limited so if you want to plan a friends weekend, or simply some time out yourself, get in quick.
